OLIS DSM 17 CD
Best CD spectrometer for MCD and other NIR CD uses
The ideal CD when CD measurements outside of proteins and peptides region is the first priority. The DSM 17 is useful for the 260-190 nm protein measurements, but also equally good for polymers, metals, and other samples optically active 700-1700 nm. Add our 1.4 Tesla permanent magnet, a cryogenic magnet, or other magnet to create an ideal MCD system. The model 17 fitted with both a PMT for UV/Vis and an InGaAs detector for scanning from UV/Vis into NIR seamlessly. Automatic slit and detector adjustments make this the model of choice for laboratories working with a host of sample types, those requiring various span ranges, and those routinely interested in the NIR. Extending beyond 700-1700 nm is achievable with an optional extended range detector (at additional cost).
The right answer is the only answer a DSM CD can return.

"With signal averaging, we were able to obtain what I think are data that no one has previously reported…direct evidence of transition from random coil to alpha helix in the presence of increasing dioleoyl phosphotidylserine concentration in vesicles. The data are spectacular."
